Did someone say Nuit Blanche?
If the simple pleasure of contemplating the illuminated Pavillon de Flore's shimmering reflection in the Seine is not enough for you, maybe you went to the fifth Parisian Nuit Blanche on the night from Saturday to Sunday. Let us remind ourselves that this blog was created because I couldn't make it to Paris this Fall, and I'm a little bitter about never having been to a Nuit Blanche. Sure, I can prattle on cheerfully about the Journées du Patrimoine, but this is a bit much.
It seems like the Nuits Blanches have been improving-- I've heard that although there are always plenty of interesting things to do, it's often difficult to get from one site to another and certain venues are really crowded while others are fairly deserted. More and more people seem to be visiting the different sites via rollerblade, and the addition of loaner bikes as well as making the night bus free are probably welcome changes.
